Advanced technology puts challenges in front of users, like the image they appear to be, Social identity constitutes the distinguishing features of an individual in relation to others, available literature provides a The theoretical framework of the social networking tools Through its two dimensions: work-related use and social use, and three dimensions for social identity: cognitive, evaluative and emotional, Through the quantitative approach, the research was based on a descriptive analysis on a sample of 107 professors at Kufa University, research results showed that the independent variable contributes to social identities formation in digital environments , And that social communication tools affect the interaction of individuals socially and cognitively, we recommend developing new interventions on forming social identities factors in workplace, with standards for social communication tools according to the preferences of individuals.
