Legal protection for women from domestic violence, a comparative study

Abstract

The study aims to define the legal protection that women enjoy from domestic violence and international and Arab laws, including Iraqi laws in their various branches that dealt with the issue of violence against women. Results The shortcomings of those laws, and this is due to the fact that these laws did not provide the necessary protection for women, as well as the passage of a long period of time on them, especially in Iraq. The study recommended the need to make the necessary amendments to the laws commensurate with the existing development in order to protect women from violence in all its forms, especially domestic violence.
