Research in the history and heritage of colonial cities is considered one of the topics that preoccupied the minds of those interested and researchers, especially in the last stages, as the interest of historians was linked to the nineteenth century, so the interest in such topics was very limited, although they reflect a pivotal moment in the current history of the city, which cannot be ignored. Or its absence, especially since it is linked to the period of the French protectorate 1912-1956, which brought about a series of economic and social transformations in Moroccan society. So, Oued zem, and after Morocco gained independence, many of these structures were neglected, which made many of them fall into oblivion.
