The international criminal judiciary exercises its jurisdiction over the most serious international crimes, including the crime of torture, which is considered one of the gross violations of human rights. In addition to the Permanent International Criminal Court, which played a prominent role in expanding the acts that constitute the crime of torture and stipulating the punishment of its perpetrators and the compensation of its victims.
