Abstract

The paper addressed the definition of PrePrint and demonstrated its importance at the global level.

The study also addressed the problem of the lack of official recognition by scientific institutions for publishing preprints and the limitation of publication to scientific papers submitted in traditional peer-reviewed journals, as well as the lack of a unified mechanism for review in preprint publication, in addition to the lack of financial and technical support on its digital platforms.

The study aimed to conduct an experiment to create a successful PrePrint publishing platform at the lowest cost for scientific institutions, as well as to reach a mechanism that is a model in the process of reviewing preprints, leading to raising the level of classification of Yemeni and Arab universities in scientific indicators related to publishing scientific research on preprint platforms.

The study came out with recommendations, the most important of which is supporting the culture of preprint publishing by codifying joint bilateral procedures between universities and platforms publishing preprints, providing independent and supported resources in the long term to avoid the closure of platforms, and educating publishers of preprints to open accounts on scientific platforms in order for their research papers to become known, and to obtain evaluations of Scientific research community, which leads to improving their papers submitted in peer-reviewed journals.
