Folklore is one of the main pillars of Moroccan society, as it constitutes the country's historical heritage passed down from one generation to another, which requires preservation. It was not limited to socializing the child within his family and in his environment to instill in him the value of citizenship, saturate him with the values of his homeland and discover the components and tributaries of his Moroccan identity and all forms of heritage, but it was necessary to include this in school textbooks so that the learner recognizes it and knows its types and how to preserve it.
The subject of sociology was one of the most subjects that dealt with Moroccan heritage, especially the material heritage. Through study and scrutiny, we can see that the heritage in this subject is manifested in several areas (architecture of all kinds; religious, military and civil, manuscripts and written sources, clothing and jewelry, traditional crafts and tools). In terms of its use in the sociology textbook, the material heritage has received the lion's share in the various educational stages, perhaps due to the nature of the school subject and the ease with which it can be used in it. All the monuments and manuscripts that have been placed in the textbooks, along with their characteristics, roles and importance, introduce the learner to the components of his country's heritage and bring him closer to it, even if they do not materialize in his city, to discover the cultural diversity that abounds in Morocco.
