Elements of the crime of exploiting public office in Jordanian legislation

This study dealt with one of the most important and widespread topics, which is the job investment crime, as it discussed the legal framework for this crime and the relationship between the criminal and disciplinary crime, since the basis of the job investment crime is the public employee, in addition to a statement of the interdependence and coherence of the laws of the Jordanian legislator in criminalizing the job investment crime, as the law stressed The penalties in its texts are for the public employee who violates the duties of his position, in addition to the Economic Crimes Law, which stressed the punishment for the perpetrator of the crime if proven, and indicated the similarities and differences between the crime of investing the job and similar crimes.
Through our study, the researcher will seek help from the provisions of the Jordanian Penal Code (174-177) that require that the offender be the public employee or the like, and whoever is entrusted with selling or buying for one of the public administrations in the state.
