The phenomenon of the spread of extremism and extremism in the world indicates an intellectual crisis experienced by different societies that are linked to the philosophy of violence in achieving their goals. Several countries have suffered from these manifestations, and the absence of tolerance and the presence of fanaticism have become two prominent features that establish ideological extremism, political violence, or intellectual and material terrorism in many forms.
Although terrorism as a crime is not a new issue, what is new in the subject of terrorism at the present time is that terrorism has become a global phenomenon, meaning that it is not linked to a particular region, culture, society, or religious or ethnic groups.
The issue of confronting the phenomena of extremism and extremism can only be accomplished by reviving the role of reason and studying the social conditions that helped spread these phenomena, and identifying their causes and ways to confront them.
