Abstract

The process of school and vocational guidance and counseling is of great importance due to the services it provides to schooled and even non-schooled students, so this task has been assigned to specialists in the psychological, educational and social fields. The latter joins and is appointed to the position of school and vocational guidance and counseling counselor, whose mission is to provide important services to students. He investigates their needs and problems with the aim of helping them achieve academic compatibility and psychological balance in the school and social environment. This study aims to shed light on the academic and in-service training of guidance counselors, while addressing the legislative aspect specific to their in-service training, their tasks and activities, and to identify some models in the training and education of guidance counselors, and international competencies in the field of media, school and vocational guidance and counseling.
