Negative effects of internet addictionAn applied study on students of Gedaref University

The aim of this research is to identify the negative effects of the Internet on university students and to identify the reasons for university students addiction to the Internet. The study was conducted in the year (2018) and the sample consisted of (100) individuals, and the data was collected through questionnaire designed for this purpose. The validity and reliability of the tool was also confirmed by following the generally accepted procedures. The study reached a number of results, most notably: The Internet leads to neglect in university duties. It also weakens eyesight, teaches violence by watching movies, and affects social relations as it leads to pressure on family expenses and the formation of harmful groups in society and reduces loyalty and affiliation and reduces the value of manual work, and other results. Housing for students, developing student activities and linking them to the Internet to benefit from them scientifically and culturally, and adjusting licensing sites that deal with the Internet for sites Blocked and educational and social supervision of clubs and Internet cafes.
