This research aims to illustrate the prophetic interpretation in the book "Al-Manhaj Al-Qawim" by Imam Ali bin Yahya Al-Banna, focusing on Surah "Al-Baqarah." The study employs an inductive and analytical approach, drawing material from primary sources, including Quranic verses and hadiths related to prophetic interpretation, while presenting scholars' opinions on the hadiths and commenting on them. The research is structured into an introduction, a prelude, three sections, and a conclusion. The introduction addresses the research problem, its significance, objectives, methodology, and structure. The prelude provides an overview of Imam Ali bin Yahya Al-Banna. The first section discusses the prophetic interpretation and the narratives found in Surah Al-Baqarah. The second section addresses the method of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in interpreting the Quran, while the third section focuses on narratives concerning the reasons for revelation that aid in understanding the interpretive meaning.
The conclusion highlights the key findings, including:
- Imam Ali bin Yahya Al-Banna showed significant interest in prophetic interpretation, contributing greatly to the understanding of the Quran.
- He carefully included prophetic hadiths, sometimes quoting them verbatim, other times summarizing or alluding to them.
The main recommendations emphasize the necessity of exploring areas not yet studied in this book to maximize the benefits of this topic and its impact on society, along with the importance of publishing this interpretation for students and researchers to utilize
