This research aims at the phenomenon of interpreting the Holy Qur’an using the root term, without referring to the context of the Qur’an, the reasons for its revelation and its facts, and demonstrating the seriousness of this approach in obstructing the texts, and removing the Islamic nation from the most important sources of legislation. At the conclusion of the study, the most important results were:
- The study confirmed that those who called for the renewal of the Qur’anic text understand the term on the intellectual and cultural basis, not on the basis of the rules of the righteous predecessors, and as a result of that, tampering with the Sharia occurred.
- The role of the term is represented in understanding the legal texts and controlling its sciences by depicting the facts, and facilitating understanding what God wants from His discourse.
3. The modernists take the approach of linguistics and historicism, and rationalize the text to reproduce Islamic law, and the reason for this approach has drawbacks, including: falsifying the meaning of Islamic names and facts, depicting them in a way that is not true, and deviating from the legal meaning in the linguistic sense.
