The issue of not granting citizenship to the children of Libyan women married to foreigners has become one of the most important problems that haunt Libyan women, for which they have struggled for years, and demanded the amendment of laws with the aim of redressing them.
This study concluded with a set of results and recommendations. Among these results is that the position of the Libyan legislator represents a strict trend with regard to the issue under study, as modern legislation has always sought complete equality between men and women with regard to the nationality of their children. The study also hopes from the Libyan legislator to take the arguments in favor of the issue of equality and the extent of suffering facing a Libyan mother married to a foreigner and her children, and to amend the current legislation in line with the position of modern legislation on this issue.
